Team Building / Family Fun Day at Lurgaboy Adventure Centre

Co Armagh Community Development (CACD) hosted a Team Building/Family Fun Day at Lurgaboy Adventure Centre outside Markethill on Bank Holiday Monday 7th May. What a great day was had by over 200 people from across Co Armagh.

Eight teams were put through a rigorous challenge which included High All Board , Zip Wire, Orienteering and Crate Challenge. Teams were made up of a range of people from young adults aged 12 and up right through to grandparents. All the activities were enjoyed immensely with the Leap of Faith proving biggest challenge – grandparents completed it with ease whilst some team members decided to pass on this one. The Water Traverse provided a thorough soaking for some however others managed to keep their “boat” made from barrels and a plank of wood afloat! The inclement weather strengthened the resolve of the teams and all finished the course stating that is was a day they would always remember.

Edenderry Community Development Association, Portadown were overall winners.

The less energetic and younger family members were entertained by art and crafts and other activities all of which contributed to a highly successful day organised by CACD.
