The programme consisted of 2 Study Visits, the first being a tour Orange Heritage sites in Co Armagh, Dan Winters Home, Sloan’s House Museum, Carleton Street Orange Hall and Brownlow House, Lurgan. At each site participants enjoyed a guided tour and presentation on the history and significance of the building.
This was followed up by engaging with the 1798 Rebellion Centre and Enniscorthy Caste Heritage Centre where participants learned about their pivotal place in the history of this Island.
The events and memories of the 1790’s have proved to be both inspirational and divisive and a greater understanding of the time helps us to understand the complexities of today.
This project has been part funded by Department of Foreign Affairs, Community Relations Council and Armagh City, Banbridge and
Craigavon Borough Council.
