Walking Tour and Networking Barbeque, Drum, Co Monaghan

Co Monaghan Several members of our community groups recently attended a Walking Tour and Barbeque hosted by Drum Development Association. The tour began at the village shop in Drum and ended at Drum Lake.

Angela Graham gave a presentation on what life is like for a Protestant living in this border area and gave details on improvements they have made in the village having renovated Drum Protestant Hall and an old school which now houses a playgroup.

Members of our groups were impressed with the environmental improvements Drum Development Association had made at the Lake which is now a relaxing area with summer seats and picnic tables.

Participants used this opportunity to network and meet with members from different community groups. Entertainment was provided by local musicians on pipes and accordions. The fine weather added to the enjoyment of the evening for all attendees
