CMCN Study Visit

Some of our committee members joined with community groups from County Monaghan and South Armagh on a study trip facilitated by CACD and organised by County Monaghan Community Network 

The day began at Dan Winter’s House where the group listened to the history of the formation of the Orange Order by Hilda Winter. They then proceeded to Carleton Street Orange Hall where a discussion took place on the meaning of the emblems and regalia displayed in the hall. A presentation was also given on the work of Carleton Street Community Development Association.

They continued to Drumcree Parish Church where they had a tour through the church. The day finished with a tour of Brownlow House.
