About Us

CACD has been working since 2005 to help people address the needs in their community by supporting the establishment of voluntary  groups who use Orange Halls as community venues. We recognise that Orange Halls provide a community resource which is under-utilised in many areas and increasing this usage has the potential to bring lasting benefits to a wide range of people.

In recognition of the need to support local communities develop skills and abilities, CACD now delivers to members, training, networking support, advice and information. This has helped instil confidence and capacity in communities throughout County Armagh.

Among its key achievements, CACD has:

• Facilitated the improvement of Orange Halls as Community venues throughout County Armagh
• Promoted participation of people in their local community
• Established cross border links
• Developed links with local District Councils, umbrella Community organisations and Statutory bodies.
